    The Western Union Foundation, which has awarded almost $55 million in grants and disaster relief since its inception, chooses Malenke | Barnhart for its website redesign. We will provide original information architecture, Web design, front-end development and social strategy for the foundation's website while ensuring that the new look-and-feel ties in with the overarching Western Union brand.

    Colorado-based Ultimate Electronics, a leading electronics retailer since 1968, selects Malenke | Barnhart to provide information architecture, interactive design and Web development for its new company website.

  • 06.23.10 — Malenke Becomes Sole Owner

    Laurel Malenke purchases co-founder Dan Barnhart's interest in Malenke | Barnhart. She will assume 100 percent ownership of the 8-year-old company and become its new president / creative director. After more than two decades in marketing, Dan plans to pursue personal interests. "I've been lucky to have worked with some of the best people and best clients in the nation," he says. "I've been able to do more and learn more than I ever could have imagined. Now it's time to try for the same with my family and my other passion, music." We wish him all things great.

  • 06.13.10 — Lowery Gets Hitched

    It's true! Malenke | Barnhart developer Zach Lowery ties the knot in the couple's home state of California. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was followed by a southern barbecue with all the fixin's. Zach even paid a visit to the barber for the occasion. Congrats to Zach and Nicole!

    2-10 Home Buyer's Warranty (HBW) and Malenke | Barnhart launch HBW's website for real estate professionals. The second site we've created together so far, M|B did the information architecture, Web and interaction design, copyediting, HTML development and CMS integration. Check it out

  • 06.01.10 — Yoshioka Marks 6 Years

    Among Malenke | Barnhart's earliest employees, Karie Yoshioka celebrates her sixth year with us. She started as an interactive designer and has worked her way up to senior art director, leading projects such as Rock Bottom and University of Denver. After all these years, M|B would not be M|B without Yosh's wit—and un-censored comments. Here's to six more!

  • 05.26.10 — College Site Kicks Off

    The University of Denver Admissions and Financial Aid Office and Malenke | Barnhart start a new project together. An extension of the overall University of Denver redesign completed by M|B, the prominent office chose us to redesign its site and provide content entry services.

  • 05.25.10 — Thomas: Employee of Month

    The Malenke | Barnhart team recognizes Shannon Thomas for an outstanding job in her new position: Project Manager. Shannon's superior organizational skills are helping us traffic jobs, manage budgets and generally stay on track in everything we do. Great job, Shannon!

  • 05.19.10 — Qwest Demos Launch

    To create awareness and understanding of two new phone and TV features, Qwest and Malenke | Barnhart created Flash demos that are accessible from Qwest.com.   • 05.08.10 — Fenn Celebrates 1 Year at M|B

    Self-titled Grand Masta Flash, Miles Fenn, marks the end of his first year creating stellar designs and doing kick-ass development at Malenke | Barnhart. Thanks, Miles, for your massive creativity and mini desk ornaments. We hope there will be many more years to come!

  • 05.05.10 — College Site Kicks Off

    The University of Denver's School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and Malenke | Barnhart begin the redesign of the school's website. Building on the foundation laid with the redesign of DU.edu, the teams will create a new look and feel that conveys the school's relationship to DU while giving it its own unique identity.

  • 04.20.10 — Lowery: Employee of the Month

    The Malenke | Barnhart team names master front-end Developer Zach Lowery its March employee of the month. The lead developer for the University of Denver News website, Zach proved once again that he is a consummate pro, developing a great end product on time- and with his characteristic calm and patience.     The University of Denver and Malenke | Barnhart publish the university's all-new, consolidated News website. Built in Wordpress with sections for DU Today, the DU Magazine, social media and more, the site reflects their new brand and promises to make their news easier to find, consume and maintain.   • 03.24.10 — CVB Initiative Goes Live

    Malenke | Barnhart and Visit Denver, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, launch a series of website updates aimed at improving the user experience. The changes include a refreshed home page design with new location-based content and more prominent event content, updated styles to increase consistency, and new sitewide tagging to improve users' search results. We provided design and development services for this substantial website refresh.

  • 03.23.10 — Lawson: Employee of the Month

    Interactive Developer David Lawson is named Malenke | Barnhart's February employee of the month. The lead developer for the Visit Denver website, David was instrumental in implementing a large initiative that launched in early March.   • 03.22.10 — M|B Begins College Site

    Teams from the University of Denver's School of Science, Engineering and Computer Science and Malenke | Barnhart kick off the college's website project. We will help them rewrite and redesign their site to give the school its own identity while remaining consistent with the University's overarching brand.

  • 03.12.10 — CH2M Hill Chooses M|B

    Global leader in engineering, construction and operations, CH2M Hill, selects Malenke | Barnhart to provide information architecture and visual design for its intranet.

    Malenke | Barnhart is looking for a Senior Account Manager to oversee several large accounts.     Denver Zoo and Malenke | Barnhart launch the Asian Tropics microsite-a new site architected, designed and developed by M|B to promote the new Zoo exhibit.   • 03.10.10 — Rand Marks 2 Years at M|B

    Kelley Rand, Malenke | Barnhart's Content Director, celebrates her 2nd year at the agency. "M|B is a real thought-leader in the realm of content strategy.   • 03.08.10 — NACTEL Kicks Off Design

    Following a successful Discovery period in which Malenke | Barnhart performed research and strategy for its new career website and tools, the National Coalition for Telecommunications Education & Learning (NACTEL) launches the architecture, design, content and development stages with Malenke | Barnhart as its partner.

    Matthew Elliott celebrates his third anniversary at Malenke | Barnhart, where he was a web development lead and development manager before taking on his current role of user experience strategist.     Felicity Coye joins Malenke | Barnhart's account management team, bringing five years of experience, including managing the largest account for Sidney's Singleton Ogilvy & Mather.     2-10 Home Buyer's Warranty (HBW) and Malenke | Barnhart launch HBW's website for homeowners. We did the information architecture, web and interaction design, copyediting, HTML development and CMS integration for this great new consumer site.

  • 01.21.10 — Old Chicago Site Launches

    The Old Chicago website, also for Rock Bottom Restaurants, Inc., launches with custom content for more than 200 restaurant locations. Malenke | Barnhart provided information architecture, web and interaction design, copyediting, front-end development, back-end development and CMS integration for this site, too.

  • 01.21.10 — Rock Bottom Site Launches

    The newly redesigned website for Rock Bottom Restaurants, Inc., the U.S.'s leading restaurant brewer, goes live with custom content for all restaurants.
